Cathy Rankin

Cathy is an established entertainment personality with a television and film career spanning over 15 years. Her extensive credits include starring and featured roles in commercial TV and film, hosting, interviewing, spokesperson, voiceover and print. Cathy's background in marketing, PR and advertising adds to her brand, giving her the ability to contribute both on and off camera, from concept creation, strategic planning, branding, promotions and communications, to research, writing and editing.

As a host and journalist, Cathy has worked in many national and international network and cable TV shows. She has conducted in-depth and Red Carpet interviews with notable celebrities from sports and entertainment, including Bob Costas, David Foster, Dionne Warwick, Jordan Sparks, Bryant Gumbel, Pam Anderson, Chris Collinsworth, Cedric the Entertainer and more. She is also a bankable spokesperson with multiple national infomercials that have successfully generated over $200 million dollars for various companies, giving her an extensive background in interviewing a wide range of CEOs, authors, and entrepreneurs. This diverse work has given her the ability to relate in any genre to both the subject of the interview, as well as her audience with a positive, down to earth style and off the cuff humor, candor and insight. Cathy was featured as a Red Carpet host for multiple Superbowl events, Muhammad Ali’s Celebrity Fight Night, the Sports Emmy Awards and more. In 2004, her Monday Night Football promo with Leslie Nielsen was nominated for a Sports Emmy Award in the same category as the Olympics.

Throughout her career, Cathy has also been involved in music from a young age. Her sister was a working drummer in an all-female hard rock band, her grandfather a professional Big Band musician, and her grandmother a violinist. She has been a long-time fan of rock and roll, and has worked with many musicians over the years. In 2014, Cathy returned to her roots and her first passion: singing. She signed on to take over female lead vocals with Daisy Train, a dynamic country/rock act, and Superhero, a high energy variety dance/pop/rock band. Both bands are currently performing corporate/private and public shows at various venues. Daisy Train was a featured act for the 2015 Superbowl Fanfest in Phoenix, which drew over 80,000 people, as well as an opening act for the Live Nation VIP club at concerts for artists such as Alan Jackson and Dierks Bentley. The band was voted #3 on the “Top Ten Country Western Nights” list by the New Times. Superhero is a popular nationally touring corporate event band and a featured act for the Party on the Plaza at multiple Phoenix Suns NBA games, Casino Arizona, Talking Stick and many festivals and events in the Southwest.

Currently, Cathy continues to perform as a singer, host, interviewer, actor and spokesperson, and is launching a new project with us here at Brickhouse.TV and BLK Live that combines both her love of music and her passion for on-camera interviewing and reporting.
